Catching Up

2005-10-04 @ 3:52 p.m.

Okay, I got a new look, and a new outlook as well. I've been doing a lot of soul searching these past few days and I'm probably going to be doing some more serious writing here in a few days if everything goes well.

The wedding was awesome! It was small, and under-funded, but it was a totally memorable experience. Tonie looked beautiful. I've not been around that much happiness in a long time. I'll write more about it later, and I'm sure that I'll put a gallery up devoted to it. I took a TON of pictures that day.

School is better than it was a few days ago. I made it through my first history test with a C. (I was 3 points away from a B!) But that's okay. I got over the initial hump and I don't feel as stressed as I once did. I know what he expects from us now and I feel a lot more confident.

The same goes for my math class. We took a quiz yesterday and I'm 90% positive that I got an A on it. Patrick has been drilling math into my head for a few weeks now and the concepts are finally beginning to click. I feel a lot better.

Work has been the norm. No one really asks too much of me these days. They don't order me around like they used to because they know that I'm perfectly capable of running hardlines all by myself if needed. That makes me feel good. Sunday I took apart all of the "broken" video game demos and "fixed" them.

My boss walked over and asked me what I was doing and I simply told him that everyone else was simply too lazy to do it. I explained that I was sick of people complaining that they didn't work. He then proceeded to help me rig a new controller to the XBOX inside the case. 20 minutes after I was done, all three consoles were surrounded by happy kids. It made me feel good.

Patrick and I watched "Lords of Dogtown" and "Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children (Japanese Version)" today. I loved them both. They're probably two of my new all time faves.

I go to work in a few minutes. Yuck. When I get home I have to finish my math home work and possibly start my English viewpoint essay. I go to school from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. tomorrow. The rest of the day will be spent doing homework.

I know that everyone has been getting mad at me for not being around much lately, but I'm sorry. Between work and school I just don't have much time right now. I have to keep my priorities in order. I still love you all.

Oh, and I'm still working on perfecting this layout, bear with me.
